How to Use the RxCoolers Max Portable Medical Refrigerator

The RxCoolers Max combines the convenience of dual cooling technology to keep your medications at the right temperature.

It’s ideal for both everyday use and travel, offering flexible cooling solutions to meet your needs and lifestyle.

You can choose from two cooling modes depending on your access to power:

• USB-Powered Active Cooling: Perfect when you have access to power sources like car chargers or power banks.
• Passive Cooling with Biogel Cooling Pack: Ideal for off-the-grid situations, long trips, or outdoor adventures where no electricity is available.
  

Both options provide reliable cooling, ensuring that your medications stay safe and refrigerated whether you're commuting, heading on a holiday, or enjoying outdoor activities.

1. USB MINI FRIDGE MODE, For Continuous Active Refrigeration

When power is available, simply connect the USB lid to a power source to keep your medications constantly cool. The RxCoolers Max is compatible with:

Steps for USB Mini Fridge Use:

1. Load Your Medication: Place insulin pens, vials, or other refrigerated medicines in the cooling chamber.
2. Connect: Secure the USB lid and plug it into your chosen power source. The cooling begins immediately!

USB Cooling Performance:

🌡️ Mild to Hot Conditions (up to 35°C): The RxCoolers Max keeps refrigerated temperatures (2–8°C) continuously as long as it is plugged into a power source.

🌡️ Extreme heat (around 40°C): Maintains a safe internal temperature below 26°C (cool, but not refrigerated), while powered.

2. REFRIGERATED TRAVEL CASE MODE, No Power

The RxCoolers Max portable medical refrigerator is also a fantastic cooler for when you're off the grid, on long-haul flights, or in any situation where there’s no power source.

Simply use the included Biogel cooling pack to keep your meds chilled:

Steps to use the Biogel cooling system

1. Prepare the Biogel Cooling Pack: Shake the pack 4-5 times to evenly distribute the gel inside.
2. Freeze Thoroughly: Place the pack in your freezer for at least 6-8 hours (overnight is best). You can freeze it for longer without worry.
3. Defrost Before Use: To prevent freezing your medication, warm the surface of the pack by soaking it in lukewarm water for 2–3 minutes or leaving it at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
4. Load and Go: Dry the pack, insert it into the cooler tube, add your medication, and close with the regular lid (non-USB). You’re now ready to travel!

Performance in Cooling Pack Mode:

🌡️ Mild Weather (up to 30°C): Keeps your medication refrigerated (2–8°C) for up to 32 hours, and cool below 26°C for up to 52 hours.

🌡️ Hot conditions (up to 35°C): Refrigerates (2–8°C) for 30 hours, cool below 26°C for 48 hours.

🌡️ Extreme heat (around 40°C): Keeps refrigerated (2–8°C) for 28 hours, and cool below 26°C for 46 hours.

CARE & MAINTENANCE TIPS

To keep your RxCoolers Max in top condition for many years, we recommend following these few simple tips:

✅ What to do:

• Keep the USB lid upright and ensure ventilation holes are unobstructed.
• Use a cool hair dryer or air compressor to dust the vents every few weeks.
• Unplug the mini fridge for 15–20 minutes after every 4 days of continuous use.
• Wipe the stainless steel parts with a damp cloth.
  

🚫 What NOT to do:

• Do not immerse the mini fridge in water.
• Avoid harsh cleaning agents or abrasive materials.
• Avoid extended continuous operation without short resting periods.

Note: Aluminum parts may oxidise over time—clean gently with a designated aluminum cleaner if needed.
